This Is Surely The Most Breathtaking Man-made Creation In The World

The Fly Geyser or Fly Ranch Geyser is a man-made geothermal geyser in Washoe County, Nevada. This man-made phenomenon is around five feet high by around twelve feet wide including the mound it sits on. It was accidentally created during well drilling back in 1964. Whilst exploring for sources of geothermal energy, the well was not capped correctly and dissolved minerals began rising and accumulating which in turn created the tavertine mound on which the geyser sits.

Water is continuously released and reaches up to five feet in the air. The water ponds below have even formed their own ecosystem with small fish and birds. The brilliant colors are due to thermophilic algae and are truly breathtaking to see.
